The Life Design Framework
What Is The Life Design Framework?
Life Design is a vision-driven, reality-grounded organizing structure for creating outstanding results, with whatever you have to start with
You go through life taking the path of least resistance…
Robert Fritz, The Path Of Least Resistance
The underlying structure of your life determines the path of least resistance…
You can learn to recognize the structures in play in your life and change them so that you can create what you really want to create.
Many people try to create results by “visualizing” them. “Hold the vision,” has become almost a slogan in some parts. Others believe, “Just do it!” will get results. Or “try it, fix it, do it.” There is truth to all those statements.
However, to create real and lasting desired results, you need vision and action
Moreover, they must be connected within a framework—a structure for success—grounded in current reality i.e. what you have to start with, relative to your envisioned results
The Life Design Framework helps change the path of least resistance along which your life and work flow, making it easier to create results that matter
“Your life design program is the most powerful and practical self-help program I’ve ever taken part in. I learned to rise above problems, and simplify and enrich my process and results. Success!”
A. D. Fleur, Freelance Writer, Nashville , TN
Your organizing framework determines the direction in which your energy and action flow—and the results you create
Think water in a creek following the path of the underlying structure of the creek bed. Or electricity flowing through wires.
To create real and lasting results you have to recognize dysfunctional structures, and shift to supportive ones.
A supportive organizing framework simplifies the challenge of creating results. It makes creating easier, and you more effective. It can generate joy. It can help you thrive
Vision, Reality and Focused Action
In the Life Design framework, clear, compelling visions of results drive actions.
The Life Design Framework generates three sources of energy, and guides you, and your actions, from where you are to where you most want to be.
A clear, compelling vision of a desired results generates motivational energy
Holding vision and current reality in mind together sets up a useful, creative tension—a tendency to move—that generates the energy you’ll need when motivation is not enough
It also forms a container for creating—a possibility space—in which to experiment, explore, discover, learn, act. It helps you integrate rational and intuitive thinking.
Taking action gets you moving and building momentum, the third source of energy; the one that is going to power through to completion
You start by creating small results, which become the building blocks of larger results, which in turn become the building blocks of successful end results. You learn from your experiences, and move in the direction of your higher dreams and aspirations.
I attended one of Bruce’s workshops to support a friend, although I did not think it would be helpful to me. But, when it was over, I realized “this IS how I create art, intuitively. And having the ideas and framework he coaches people in could help me, too. After 16 weeks of focused coaching, my days are easier and more relaxing. And my sales are up!

Creative Tension Gets You Moving And Keep Moving
Creative Tension sets up a supportive path of least resistance. It generates the energy to get you moving, and keep moving even in the face of adversity and failure
Most important, it enables you to act even when motivation fades or fails
At those difficult times when you just don’t feel like it, creative tension gets you off the couch and into action—enabling and empowering you to follow through to complete results.
“I was down and dragging when I started with Bruce. Now, 12 weeks later, things just seem to happen. I flow from task to task. Most important the results I’m creating now are ones that have always been important to me but I didn’t know how to approach them before. Using the organizing framework, I changed that. I’m so happy and excited by all this work.”
